New environment
A target model before deployment
Select the first use cases, responsibilities, routing and controls before production changes.
1 · Advice — assess and design
Advice defines what to build, why, in which order and with which Tailscale subscription. The deliverables can be used by Defense First or another implementation partner.
When to choose Advice
Advice is for organisations considering Tailscale, moving from pilot to production or assessing the structure, security and licensing of an existing tailnet.
New environment
Select the first use cases, responsibilities, routing and controls before production changes.
Pilot
Turn a working experiment into an approved architecture, policy and implementation backlog.
Existing tailnet
Assess roles, groups, tags, Grants, devices, routes, logs and ownership.
Scope of work
Advice is not a generic workshop. It is scoped to one organisation, its priority use cases and the decisions required for production.
Customer deliverables
The customer can make a go/no-go decision and start or tender the implementation without another discovery phase.
Responsibilities and boundaries
The customer names use-case and resource owners and provides sufficient current-state information. Defense First also documents open decisions and uncertainties.
Up to three workshops, a target model, licence assessment and implementation plan.
Production configuration, IdP/MDM/EDR changes, ongoing management or formal training.
Owners, source information, approval of business permissions and third-party availability.
Pricing
The final proposal is based on the use cases, environments, integrations and discovery work required.
